In my opinion, enterprise mobility is a platform allowing companies to become more efficient - such as streamlining processes which save time, reduce costs, improve processes, and generally improve the company's "way of doing things". This is important because companies nowadays need to react and adapt quickly to market changes, much faster than in the past - reason being: globalization, and its impact. It will be these agile, nimble, swift companies who will indeed come out on top and mobility is a platform which will assist them in doing so.
It is now up to companies to find out how best to use this "constant evolving" platform!

Enterprise Mobility is an extension of conventional technology, which uses hand held devices to improve operations, enhance customer experiences and reduce cost of doing business.Enterprise Mobility refers to the eco-system that consists of Mobile Phones, Telecom vendor, MEAP, Enterprise Applications. Hence Enterprise Mobility is not just 'that thing' but a' bunch of things'.
An application developed for a company does not necessarily mean ,catering to enterprise mobility requirements. In my opinion the mainstay of enterprise mobility is the MEAP. [Mobile Enterprise Application Platform]

I actually think more and more that it's less about the technology and more about how it enables PEOPLE to work and think differently. It's all about business transformation.
