In Kryos’ Mobile Practice, we are currently executing more strategies than actual design, development and integration of smartphone and tablet applications. I find steps 1 and 3 can really delay a project the most. IT easily buy into good design, development and integration proposals, however in the industries we work in, business is slow to define mobile app initiatives and assign budget.

The consumer app world has taught people that mobile apps are free or 99 cents. It’s often a shock that an integrated rich custom app could be $20k+. This is where a detailed Road Map and Initiatives Report in a Mobile Application Strategy can help stage resources and budgets.
