The Enterprise Mobility Forum Turns One
One year ago today, the Enterprise Mobility Foundation came out of stealth mode and brought to the Interweb the Enterprise Mobility Forum. The premise was simple. Change the game. Provide everyone and anyone interested in enterprise mobility a site on the web that was dedicated to one very simple thing. Objective and unbiased information, combined with free research, various tools for content aggregation, and the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals to drive education and real business value for your enterprise mobility initiatives.
One year ago yesterday, there was not one single person visiting this site…and there were no members of the community. My, how things can change in 12 short months. 1,200 comments, 1,750 members, 175,000 page views and countless discussions and connections later. The Enterprise Mobility Forum has become the largest and fastest growing community wholly dedicated to enterprise mobility.
Today’s missive is a thank you. Thank you to all the thought leaders in enterprise mobility who make their own contributions to this site. Thank you to all the enterprise mobility experts who have taken the time to share their views on enterprise mobility. Thank you to the amazing advisory board that helps us steer the EMF in the “right” direction. Thank you to all the enterprise mobility vendors that allow us to do what we do. Thank you to all our partners. Thank you to the EMF team that works its tail off to make this site work. Most importantly however, thank you to each and every member of the Enterprise Mobility Forum’s community. Without you, this site is NOTHING.
There are a lot of thank you’s in that last paragraph, and if you think I take those lightly, you obviously don’t know me that well. I’d like to think that The Enterprise Mobility Foundation has come a long way in 12 short months, but I promise you that we will never stop working to provide the most vibrant and educated community dedicated to enterprise mobility. While we are #Winning, our “torpedoes of truth” are not violent. We just want to provide everyone and anyone the best darn resource possible so that they can make the most educated decision(s) possible around enterprise mobility.
So, with all the thank you’s….I’ll ask you just one simple favor. This site was created FOR the enterprise mobility community and its success will be dictated BY the enterprise mobility community. As of today, we are 1,750 members. Imagine what would happen if you shared this resource with just ONE person who doesn’t know about it yet. Overnight…our community will double. After they have started using the site, hopefully they too will share it with others….and we will double again…and again…and again and again.
One last thing. If you have any ideas on what we can do to further improve this site, please let us know. We have our ideas on how to improve the site, but we know we don’t have the market cornered on good ideas. Until then, keep on connecting with other EMF members and sharing in our discussions and our community.
Cheers!
Philippe
