John Traynor

As vice president, products at BSQUARE Corporation, John oversees the product planning, management, and development functions for mobile and embedded products. Prior to joining BSQUARE, John was vice-president, business products at Palm. He was responsible for product management and marketing of Palm’s business and enterprise offerings, including the Treo brand of Windows Mobile devices and Palm webOS. Prior to Palm, John spent 16 years at Microsoft. He most recently led product management in the Mobile Communications Group with responsibility for enterprise environments, including System Center Mobile Device Manager. Previously, John held roles at Microsoft in sales, marketing, finance, operations, and consulting services in the US and internationally. Before joining Microsoft, John’s career included positions in management and information technology consulting, and he co-founded a software development company.

John is also a member of the advisory board of Formotus, Inc., a mobile business application provider.

John holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from King’s College at the University of Western Ontario, in London, Canada and a master’s degree in business administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.
